(any and all details of this film have been gleaned from the trailer, so minor spoilers probably follow).
On this day in Film History, Kung Fu Panda 3 was released….today!!

The third installment in the Kung Fu Panda series sees Po (Jack Black) meeting up with his long-lost father (voiced by Bryan Cranston) and traveling to a panda village where (for reasons not yet clear, he must train the residents in the art of kung fu (with hilarious results)).
When I first sat down to watch the original Kung Fu Panda (all the way back in 2008), I wasn’t sure if I would like the film or not (comedies, even animated comedies, are very hit and miss with me). But I found that I liked the story (once the awkward introductions were over), and the animation was very spot on. I think part of me enjoyed it because I too have daydreamed on occasion about being the big hero and saving the day.
I’ll probably go see Kung Fu Panda 3 this weekend, it looks like fun! (And if I really like it I’ll come back and write a review about it). Since Hans Zimmer has worked on the score of all three films, I’m sure the music for this one will be excellent. Enjoy the weekend! -Bex
